Company

AI should belong tothe people who use it.

Right now, the world's most powerful technology is concentrated in the hands of three or four American companies. Every prompt sent. Every workflow seen. Every piece of context kept. We're building a different path.

Our Philosophy

The product needs to win on three axes simultaneously:

Cheaper

Than going direct to model providers. Routing intelligence captures the savings across providers and models.

Safer

Than going direct. Zero Data Retention by architecture, compliance built-in, full observability.

Smarter

Than going direct. Better outputs through curation, validation, and intelligent fallbacks across models.

We are cheaper, safer, and faster. We might lose in some edge cases on raw model intelligence against frontier models. That's a tradeoff we make deliberately — because for 95% of real-world tasks, the right routing beats a bigger model.

Why We Exist

In late 2025, it became clear that the most consequential technology in human history would be controlled by a handful of hyperscalers — and that nearly every business, government, and institution outside that small circle would become a tenant rather than an owner.

For many use cases, that's fine. For the rest — regulated industries, governments, healthcare, legal, finance, defence, research, anything involving proprietary knowledge — it's a structural problem nobody has solved.

Autark is our answer. We built it first for ourselves because we needed privacy, speed, and cost efficiency all at once. Word started spreading, so we invited some friends on board. There's an increasing need for a sovereign AI platform where data never leaves your control, costs are a fraction of going direct, and the platform improves over time without ever needing to see what you send through it.

We started with the API because that's where the leverage is. Every application, every agent, every workflow flows through an inference API. Control that layer, do it right, and you can give entire organisations the benefit of frontier AI without the compromise of frontier AI dependence.

What We Believe

Sovereignty must be architectural, not policy.

"We promise not to store your data" is a sentence. "We physically cannot store your data" is a system. We build the second kind.

The best AI is the right AI for the task.

There is no single best model. The best model is the one that produces the correct answer at the lowest cost in the fastest time for the specific question. Routing intelligently to that model, every time, automatically, is worth more than any single model.

Compliance is a product feature, not a sales process.

GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, AI Act — these are not procurement obstacles to negotiate around. They are design requirements. Build them in from the start and you never have to explain yourself.

Open weights are the future of capability.

The gap between open and closed models has closed. The advantage now is infrastructure, integration, and intelligent orchestration — not proprietary model secrets that age in months. We build for an open-weight world because that's where the value will be. We're not building Artificial Super Intelligence or a digital god — we're building the single sovereign endpoint between your business and the AI ecosystem.

Energy is the bottleneck.

AI demand is growing faster than the grid can support. The next decade of AI will be defined not by who has the best models, but by who can power and cool them. We are building for an energy-constrained future from the foundations up.

The Long View

Autark is the first layer of a longer arc.

The software layer — intelligent routing, sovereign by design, compatible — is the foundation. From it, we are building toward owning more of the stack that AI runs on: the knowledge layer, the agent layer, and ultimately the physical infrastructure that powers it all.

The world does not need another company building a frontier model to dominate everything tomorrow. It needs a company focused on empowering everyone — today.
